Appreciation

Naiah is eleven months old.
She doesn't talk much.
But lately, when she's done nursing, she applauds.

I am quite sure it is worth some applause. . .my almost 8 year old nursed for 13 months. . .she still sucks in her sleep sometimes.

Yeah, the other day she applauded when I changed her diaper.

She's training us well.

way to go dad! you did it right this time! sorry jason, i couldn't resist. I wish Quinn would do something nice when he was finished, he just slaps my chest and pulls my lips or pinches my neck. I am apparently incapable of weaning him.

Lisa-- the girls were really hard to wean as well. They kept going back and forth from one feeding to two or three or four. Eventually, I just started giving them a cup of milk every time they wanted to nurse, and it only took a day or two for them to quit trying. But that wasn't til they were like seventeen months old and I was pregnant with Jonah.

When my two year old was weaning... she would make kissy noises before and after.
