Word Power
Naiah is fourteen months old. She has a lot of words at her disposal (for her age), but she still feels the need to use her lungs now and then.
This afternoon, she woke from her nap as I was finishing my shower. While I towelled off and dressed, this is what I heard two rooms away:
"Mama?" (murderous scream) "Up, please?" (murderous scream) "Mama?" (murderous scream) "Up, please, Mama?" (murderous scream)

I can hear her now. Actually, I'm glad I can't... she does have a hair-raising scream.
As for your growing cleaning compulsions... what's wrong with doing those things?? I do them, and more!
Now I've really scared you, right?
Love you!
Your mom
Don't you wish they would understand that screaming doesn't accomplish anything? Ha ha ha...oh, the joys of parent-hood!
Ah. . .but screaming DOES accomplish several things depending on the mood/sleep deprivation/desperation of the parent nearest in proximity to the screamer. . .
What they don't understand is that screaming will not kill either them OR the parent. . .therefore when they scream, they are takin' their chances.
