Hot Lips
This afternoon, I was stoking the fire in the stove, when Anna came up behind me.
"Whoa," she said. "That's a big one!"
"Yeah," I said. "It's pretty."
"Yeah. But I think it will burn my lips off."

It's quite important to be specific about what a fire will burn off!
Yes, that would definitely cause hot lips, lol!
I grew up in a house with no central heat or air. . .and even though it's the south, it can get really cold in northern Louisiana in the winter. We had gas space heaters that were in the wall. . .and I cannot even tell you the number of night gowns I burned the back of by standing too close for too long to warm up.
You've got a smart girl.
